Chata Carmen

About Carmen

Chalet Carmen is a newly renovated mountain timbered cottage in the eastern part of the Giant Mountains between Dolní and Horni Mala Upa, 950 m.a.s.l. Its location provides a beautiful view of the Mala Upa's valley, the ridges of the Giant Mountains and offers excellent conditions for winter and summer sports or recreation. The cottage is designed for year-round use and is also suitable for families with children.

Location

Mala Upa is known as the highest positioned village in the Czech Republic (1041 m n. m.) and it also is considered as the starting point for all tourists heading towards the eastern Giant Mountains or Snezka (1602 m),

Cottage equipment

Stylish and comfortably furnished cottage with a large living room, suitable for smaller and larger groups of tourists. There is also a ski storage room with a drying room and a terrace with barbecue facilities.

Ground floor

The dominant of the ground floor is a large common room with LCD TV and satellite.There are also two bathrooms with showers and 4 toilets.

1st floor

On the first floor is a large shared fully equipped kitchen (electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, kettle, utensils etc.), one triple room and two four-beds apartments with its own bathroom and kitchenette.

2nd floor and loft

All our double rooms are located on the 2 floor of cottage.

Transportation and parking

During the summer, the guests can park their cars directly by the cottage for free (up to 5 cars). But in winter these parking spaces are not accessible and guests must park their cars in the parking space by the main road, approx. 100m from the cottage (100,- CZK/car/night).

Energy consumption and heating costs are already .

Skibus

About 100m from the cottage is a stop for free shuttle Skibus for ski resotrs.

Chalet Carmen offers 7 rooms with total capacity of 19 beds.

Non-smoking areas

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms of the cottage .

Accommodation

Cottage has a total capacity of 19 beds, which are divided into 5 rooms and 2 suites. All units are stylishly furnished with typical character of mountain cottage. Thanks to the location on the southern side of hill, all rooms and apartments are very bright and sunny during the day.

Two four-beds apartments

All apartments are separate living units with their own bathroom, toilets and fully equipped kitchen (cooker, fridge, kettle, dishes and dining table), and also with LCD TV and satellite.

  • Apartment no. 12 - One double bed and two single bed

5 cozy rooms

Double and triple rooms do not have their own bathroom, but the guests have at their disposal 2 shared bathrooms with showers and 4 toilets located on ground floor.
